This is going to shock most of you, but I am here to tell
you that teenage angst is a good thing. I know, that sounds crazy, but I have
proof. Photographic proof!
Recently, I was very anxious to get outside to test out a
new lens in natural lighting. The weather hadn’t been cooperating, and then I
got sick for a week. Then one day a few weeks ago, the stars finally aligned.
My daughter came home after spending a night with a friend. The sun wasn’t
shining but it wasn't raining either. This was my chance. Except said daughter was
acting like someone stole her puppy dog and smashed her lifeline phone with a
hammer. Whatever, I was doing this, so off we went.
Y’all, if you look at her in these pictures, you can see it. She
is ticked off. Why you ask? General teenage purposes. BUT THE FACES! She had
just enough attitude to give me all the pouty faces and I’m in love with how
these turned out. Luckily, she even gave me a few of her beautiful smiles along the way.
So yes, teenage angst is a good thing. At least in this
scenario.
